AloneAssist

SMS Messaging Program

Last updated: April 15, 2026

AloneAssist operates a transactional SMS program that supports its daily wellness check-in service for older adults. This page describes how consent is collected, what messages we send, and how to opt out.

Program name

AloneAssist daily wellness check-in SMS.

How consent is collected

AloneAssist is a subscription service. Account owners (typically adult children of the person receiving calls) create an account at aloneassist.com/signup and, during onboarding, are asked to verify their mobile phone number. At the phone-entry step, the following disclosure is shown directly above the “Text me a code” button:

By tapping “Text me a code”, you agree to receive SMS messages from AloneAssist at this number, including one-time verification codes, missed check-in alerts, and wellness summaries. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. See our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms.

Secondary Care Circle contacts (additional family, neighbors, or friends) are added by the account owner. Before any alert messages are sent to a Care Circle contact, that contact receives a one-time opt-in confirmation SMS and must reply YES to confirm. No further messages are sent until the contact confirms. Contacts can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe.

What we send

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS through this program.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on account activity. Typically fewer than one message per day per recipient. Account owners receive one verification code at signup. Care Circle contacts receive one opt-in confirmation request per household they are added to, plus alerts only when a check-in is missed or a concern is detected.
